The Silent Garden
Artificial reefs are a known ecological solution by now. It helps diversify and enrich the local underwater fauna and flora and also adds a value from a touristic point of view. British artist Jason de Caires Taylor designed a special artificial reef by exhibiting his 400 human replica statues underwater in the Isla Mujeres National Marine Park of Mexico. 'The silent evolution' so it's called and is aimed to encourage coral growth in the waters close to Cancun. A great
combination of art and marine science.
